SEPTEMBER: TRUCK OF THE YEAR 2023

With the close drawing near for our Truck of the Year competition 2023, things are heating up with spectacular entrants and all manner of trucks vying to take out the top spot as King of the Isuzus.
September has been a feast for the eyes with entrants pouring in from across the country, engaged in applications from processing waste through to electricians, gardeners, carpenters and excavation specialists putting their best trucks forward.
The competition closes on November 24, so be sure to get your entry in for a chance at fantastic monthly prizes, the Series prizes, and a shot at our Grand Prize—a $6,000 Visa gift card. Be sure to check out the full terms and conditions and enter here.
However, only one can win the monthly round, and we are excited to announce that VTG Waste has won September with their big green FYJ 300-350 8x4. VTG Waste has scored an Isuzu merchandise prize pack valued at $300 and the chance to be crowned as “King” of the FY Series.

VTG WASTE & RECYCLING
Based in Darwin in the Northern Territory, VTG Waste & Recycling and James Prakash entered this smartly outfitted FYJ 300-350 8x4 which is used for recycling and commercial waste disposal.
“We are proud to operate Isuzu trucks,” said James.
“They are reliable, functional and look great! Our trucks are painted in our own custom ‘VTG’ green because we like to stand out on the road.”

MATTHEW LAYTON ELECTRICAL
Making a statement and advertising on the road (while keeping the tools of the trade locked securely away), Matthew Layton from New South Wales proves yet again that the NPR 45-155 Tradepack is the best mate of Aussie tradies, no matter their business.
“There is so much room in my NPR Tradepack that I don't have to worry about being over the weight limit,” said Matthew. “It's a no brainer!”

JIM'S MOWING: EAST LAUNCESTON
Hoi sang Chan from East Launceston in Tasmania has entered this impressively customised NLR 45-150 Traypack with a secure storage space for tools and equipment, leaving plenty of payload to spare for garden waste and rubbish removal.
“My NLR is a custom-built lawn mowing and landscape truck,” said Hoi sang.
The Traypack is used for the Jim's Mowing East Launceston franchise and makes for a superb rig that can cart everything needed for a long day moving from job to job.

SKD CUSTOM CREATIONS
Ross Andriske in New South Wales uses his Ready-to-Work Traypack for his carpentry and woodworking business SKD Custom Creations. Using recycled native wood in his creations, Ross puts his Isuzu truck to use for deliveries, collecting timber and lumber for the workshop.
“My Isuzu truck is a work horse! Best purchase for my business,” said Ross.
“I was glad to sell the 4WD and trailer after making the upgrade.”

FUSED AUTO ELECTRICAL
Based in Yatala, Queensland, Blake McCormack entered his 2022 NLR Servicepack-X that is cleverly decked out with night lights and is putting in the hard yards at Fused Auto Electrical.
“It’s a well fitted-out auto electrical service truck that can do it all,” says Blake of this smart trade setup.
