Isuzu Springs Tipper Sales Over the Top

Oct 24, 2018 0min read

Whatever the task, big or small, Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) is well known for having a fit-for-purpose transport solution for just about every application imaginable.

Built with both versatility and functionality in mind, the comprehensive Isuzu Ready-to-Work Tipper range is no exception, boasting no fewer than 15 models (including GVM and transmission variants) engineered for a host of trade applications from materials handling to landscaping. With spring in the air and significant price reductions now in place across Isuzu’s Ready-to-Work Tipper range, there’s never been a better time for Australian businesses to take their operation to the next level and invest in the future. Happy tipping The latest addition to this popular line-up is the innovative new NLR 55/45-150 Tri-Tipper, equipped with a rugged Japanese-made 2.0 m3 Shinmaywa steel tipper body with a tri-directional tipping function. This unique function means the load can be tipped from the rear as per a conventional tipping body, or, instead, the driver can turn a lever in the cabin to the left or the right, which correspondingly then tips the load to the selected side of the vehicle. The NLR Tri-Tipper comes equipped with an auto release body lockdown hook, shovel rack and non-slip side steps. The tipper function also has a snappy 20-second raise and lower time and rope rails on both the left and right sides. Isuzu’s Tri-Tipper is a key addition to Isuzu’s landmark Ready-to-Work range, ready to be driven straight out of the dealership and into operation (following the appropriate registration), at either 4,500 kg GVM for use with a car licence, or at 5,500 kg GVM for operators with at least a Light Rigid truck licence. Power plus Isuzu’s Tipper line-up benefits from popular Isuzu power plants that range from the proven 4JJ1-TCS Isuzu engine, rated at 150 PS (110 kW) @ 2,800 rpm and 375 Nm @ 1,600 – 2,800 rpm through to the bullet proof 4HK1-TCS engine with 210 PS (154 kW) @ 2,400 rpm and 726 Nm @ 1,600 rpm. These engines coupled with a range of automated manual transmissions (AMT) or 5 and 6-speed manual transmission options – means you’ll never be short on power when you need it. No slipping while tipping For tipping applications requiring additional traction, operators can consider the all-wheel-drive NLS 45-150 Tipper. Featuring a 4,500 kg GVM and 8,000 kg GCM, the NLS Tipper has on-demand all-wheel-drive, activated by a dash-mounted switch, while the tipping body has a 2.1m3 capacity. Greater loads The NQR 87/80-190 AMT Tipper is another reliable standout in the Ready to Work Tipper range. With a GVM of 8,700 kg, also available de-rated to 8,000 kg for use with a Light Rigid Licence, the NQR Tipper is the largest of the light truck tippers in the Isuzu Ready to Work range. Despite its size, it exhibits the convenience and manoeuvrability of its smaller siblings, while the AMT transmission delivers genuine operational ease. While the FRR Tipper hauls a large load, (3.8 m3 tipper body and 10,700 kg GVM), Isuzu’s 4HK1-TCS four-cylinder engine (210 PS or 154 kW @ 2,400 rpm, and 726 Nm @ 1,600 rpm), with low- and high-pressure sequential turbochargers, makes sure it gets the job done with ease and efficiency. Isuzu tippers also boast a comprehensive suite of safety technology that adds to the overall package. For example, the new NLR 55/45-150 Tri-Tipper benefits from Isuzu’s Electronic Stability Control (IESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Anti-Skid Regulator (ASR) and Hill-Start Assist (HSA) – all of which offers drivers peace of mind every time the engine turns over. Further, Isuzu tippers come standard with many features that are additional or optional on competitor models, including the rope rails, auto-release body lockdown hook and two-way tailgate. Add to that a three-year, comprehensive Isuzu Factory Warranty and Roadside Assist package across all models and Isuzu’s tippers are nothing short of a sound business investment for savvy operators keen on taking the next big leap in their professional journey.
