ISUZU NEWS: AUGUST 2017

It’s been another big month for Australia’s number one truck brand, read on for all the latest from Isuzu HQ and beyond. It's a busy time of the year as far as events are concerned and there's plenty to look forward to.

AFAC A MOBILE WEAPON IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BUSHFIRES

The Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Authority Council (AFAC) will be holding this year’s conference, AFAC17, in Sydney at the International Convention Centre Sydney in Darling Harbour, from 4-7 September. Over 2,500 emergency management professionals will converge to hear about the latest in bushfire and hazard research as well as visit the more than 160 exhibitions. Joining AFAC once again will be Isuzu Trucks and Isuzu Engines. Appearing at AFAC will be keynote speakers and experts in their fields – presenting on such subjects as forecast and warning systems and the viability of prescribed burning – while the exhibitions will showcase fire extinguishing technology, protective equipment and of course vehicles and vehicle equipment. This is where Isuzu enters the picture. Isuzu will be represented through 2 exhibits at AFAC: a mobile fire-fighting truck developed in collaboration with the NSW Rural Fire Service, also known as “The Weapon,” and the Isuzu off-highway engine powered Compressed Air Foam (CAF) system fitted to “The Weapon.”   

ISUZU WELL EQUIPPED FOR AGQUIP

One of the world's largest agricultural shows, AgQuip, kicked off in Gunnedah, NSW on Monday 22nd August and concluded on Wednesday the 24th. Isuzu Engines was at this agribusiness event to showcase their much sought after raft of two, four and six cylinder off-highway engines. 

ISUZU PURPOSE BUILT DUAL CONTROL IS AWRE INSPIRED

The Australian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE) was held in Melbourne from 23-24 August. Isuzu Joined industry professionals and exhibitors from across Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia. Isuzu was there outlining what the Isuzu FSR 850 Dual Control has to offer the waste and recycling industry.
