HIGH ALERT WITH ISUZU AND AFAC 2022

Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) is returning to the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authority Council (AFAC) conference this August from 23rd to 26th, to showcase what Isuzu does best: the creation of reliable transport solutions, regardless of the task at hand. The 2022 theme for the AFAC conference in Adelaide is Connecting Communities and Creating Resilience. After the tough few years Australians have experienced with fires, floods, and pandemic, the theme is a poignant reminder of how Australians fare better when we come together and support one another.

Australia’s emergency services sector relies on equipment that simply will not fail. With this in mind, Isuzu Trucks will be showcasing a fully operational FTS 139-260 4x4 Crew heavy tanker this August alongside an NPS 75-155 4x4 Crew tanker on loan from the South Australian Country Fire Service (SACFS). The heavy tanker is fit-for-purpose and designed specifically for Australia’s most brutal conditions - as well as for preparing for the looming fire season. With a huge 3,000 litre tank capacity this fully specified FTS 139-260 is an invaluable resource in just about any fire crisis. The go-anywhere NPS 75-155 4x4 Crew is a smaller tanker from Isuzu’s famed light-duty N Series 4x4 line-up. With its 1,550-litre capacity tank, this front-line fighter is best suited to rural off-road environments, but also holds its own on the bitumen too. The NPS is an absolute must for any country or rural fire authority and finds a home too in a number of other emergency services applications. Isuzu Power Solutions will also have products on display including the popular vertical water-cooled 4-cycle diesel 3CA1 Power Unit, typically specified for truck-mounted pumping duties. Stand goers will be able to view the engine up close and personal with expert IPS support on hand to answer any queries.

BACK TO BUSINESS

IAL National Sales Manager Les Spaltman said he was excited for Isuzu Trucks to return to another AFAC event in the flesh and after a break during the pandemic shutdowns. “The AFAC conference and exhibition is vital for climate crisis preparedness here in Australia, and after the environmental events of the past few years it’s more important than ever for Isuzu’s reliability to be put to the test in the fire and emergency services sector,” Mr Spaltman said.
