Reef Science

Getting kids interested in fishing again is the business of Dave Moss and his travelling Shimano stage tank. With his NQR 450 Dave travels to expos and fishing shows around Australia, the cargo: fish tanks, water, humans and of course fish! “Our Isuzu 450 is our lifeline in reliability,” says Dave, “we have fitted it out with a custom sleeper cab complete with double bed, shower and toilet.”

Jack Singh

A sub-contracting courier to Allied Express, Jack Singh is out and about at all times of the day and night with his FSD 140-260, “delivering parcels and freight all over Sydney and its surrounding suburbs”. If you’ve passed him on the road at night, it’s likely to have left an impression as the photo of his rig will attest.

Leisure Coast Fruit Deli

Servicing the Illawara community and businesses for over 40 years, Leisure Coast Fruit Deli has built up a formidable and attractive fleet of 11 trucks. Owner Michael Braidotti says “We like to maintain a high level of customer service so a reliable and attractive truck’s important. The pride of our fleet is our Isuzu FXL 1500 Long with a nice sign written curtain side body.” If you see it on the road, don’t reach out to grab any food, it’s not real.

The Rigging Shed

Steve Anderson of The Rigging Shed – lifting and rigging equipment specialists – informs us that his brand new Isuzu NPS 75-155 4x4 might be his “15th service vehicle” but it’s “the first 4WD truck, the first of three new trucks that will be based in the Pilbara.”

The Nature Group Signature Division

Landscape design and construction company, The Nature Group, are loving their new Isuzu NPR 55-155 Tradepack. Owner, Ken McLachlan, says he loves all the “features plus load capacity.” The extra payload “means I can carry everything, and clearance lighting with led work lights make early morning starts and late nights too easy. Most comfortable truck with awesome vision.”

Lendlease Engineering

As a major player in the construction and development game, Lendlease need to have all their ducks in a row. Operations Manager, Gary Steen loves the Isuzu FYX 2500 "not only because it's a tilt-tray, but it's also got a Fassi crane that can lift three tonnes to ten metres. Being a twin steer with a tri-axle it really is king of the road."

Straight Up Roofing Australia

When you’re part of a roofing team you have a fair bit of gear and bodies to fit in your truck. Business owner, Sean Martin, says his NLS 45-150 AWD Crew does the job with aplomb. It “fits all my gear, all the boys’ tools, long roofing materials and all the meatheads working for me. It also looks pretty fresh.”

Farmdogz Investment Trust

Laura Farmer informs us that her NPR 300 is an “awesome rig, comfy and tows her gooseneck”. Driving trucks can be a bit of a solo endeavour but not for Laura. The NPR gets a fair old workout across the top end of Australia, says Laura “carting me, my horses and dogs from Stanthorpe QLD, to Cairns, to Katherine NT.” Enter Isuzu Truck of the Year today.
