BUCKLE UP: ISUZU BACKS MEDIUM & HEAVY-DUTY TRUCK LAUNCH WITH NEW WARRANTY PACKAGE

Apr 28, 2022 0min read
Truck buyers in the medium and heavy-duty segments can buckle up and strap in for a meaningfully improved aftercare offering to match brand-new product coming from Australia’s truck market leader, Isuzu Trucks. Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) National Service Manager, Brett Stewart, detailed a major upgrade to both new vehicle warranties and extension of Isuzu’s Roadside Assist package. “To correspond with an incredible product launch, this year we’ve introduced an industry-leading aftercare package that will deliver customers an even better value proposition for newly purchased Isuzu vehicles,” said Mr Stewart. “This comes in the form of a significant bump to our offering across 2022 F, FX and FY trucks, with most models upped to 6-years warranty with much higher distance limits than previous models—tied in with 6-years of our valued 24/7 Roadside Assist service. “The new warranty structure shows how much we back our product in the market and also crystalises the level of support and peace of mind we can provide our customers during their ownership journey.”

Best in class

At the smaller end of the scale, 4x2 trucks in Isuzu’s medium-duty FRR/FRD, FSR/FSD and FTR range—which cover trucks from 8,000 kg GVM up to the 15,000 kg GVM mark—see a previous warranty of 3 years/150,000 km (or 2,500 engine hours) upgraded to a superior package, including:
  • 6 years standard factory warranty on cab chassis* / 300,000 km with no engine hour limit
  • 6 years of Isuzu 24/7 Roadside Assist
  • 3 years (unlimited km) on truck bodies in the Ready-to-Work range
  • 3 years (unlimited km) on genuine Isuzu parts and accessories
FV cab chassis models which land in the 16,500 kg GVM to 26,000 kg GVM bracket were previously supported by 3 years/200,000 km (or 3,000 engine hours) warranty. This has been upgraded in all new 2022 FV models, now featuring:
  • 6 years standard factory warranty on cab chassis* / 500,000 km with generous 8,000 engine hour limit
  • 6 years of Isuzu 24/7 Roadside Assist
  • 3 years (unlimited km) on truck bodies in the Ready-to-Work range
  • 3 years (unlimited km) on genuine Isuzu parts and accessories

Go large and get home safely

Those involved in heavier applications such as construction, mining or earthmoving will be similarly impressed with a new warranty package also applying to Isuzu’s FX and FY range, which takes operators up to a GVM of 35,000 kg. These tough-as-nuts trucks are designed to keep you safely on the job, day-in and day-out, and are backed with an aftercare package that will stand up to hard usage. 2022 models now offer:
  • 6 years standard factory warranty on cab chassis* / 600,000 km with generous 10,000 engine hour limit
  • 6 years of Isuzu 24/7 Roadside Assist
  • 3 years (unlimited km) on genuine Isuzu parts and accessories

Line of duty

Businesses taking on a truck-punishing roster of concrete agitating, garbage collection and compaction, and those working off-road, haven’t been forgotten in Isuzu’s newest aftercare upgrade. “IAL understands the rigid compliance and safety requirements that surround operating a truck in harsh applications in Australia,” noted Mr Stewart. “We’ve decided to call this out and allocate a warranty structure that is aligned to the duty cycle of an Isuzu truck working in these types of conditions. “To give customers greater peace of mind, we’ve removed the engine hours stipulation on all new 4x4 MY22 models and those specified for concrete agitating or rubbish compaction and upgraded the kilometre limit across our entire medium- and heavy-duty range,” he continued. “Whether it’s out in the field or working an inner-city rubbish route, our customers can take comfort in the fact that their business will be supported with leading-edge product—and that they’ll be covered with one of the most comprehensive aftersales support packages available in the Australian truck market to date.” * For further information on warranty and aftercare visit: isuzu.com.au.
