ARE YOU IN THE RUNNING - JUNE TRUCK OF THE YEAR CONTENDERS

Jul 13, 2017 0min read
Entries for the 2017 Truck of the Year competition have been streaming in from proud Isuzu owners. It was tough narrowing down a June shortlist from all the impressive examples, but here it is – a snapshot of some of the most loved trucks you’ll find on Aussie roads. If you think your Isuzu deserves a run in the competition, you can visit http://isuzu.com.au/news-media/truck-of-the-year between now and the end of November, attach a photo (at least 1MB) of your beautiful machine and fill out the webform. Congratulations to Bona Vista Trucking and Towz4U on both being selected as the monthly winners for June 2017. The two winners will each receive a $250 Isuzu merchandise pack of their choice and go into the running for the $6,000 grand prize for 2017. And no one leaves empty handed, every single Truck of the Year entry* also receives an Isuzu mug.

BONA VISTA TRUCKING

Bona Vista Trucking’s Tony Brown has nothing but praise for the company’s Isuzu FX 1500. He said the machine offers “reliability and comfort, and the power to get the job done.

TOWZ4U

Graham Thompson of Melbourne’s Towz4U said his love affair with his Isuzu FSD 140-260 started with the salespeople at Patterson Cheney taking excellent care of him and continues to this day, thanks to the truck being “second to none.

APJ & AL WEBBER

Victorian road transport company APJ & AL WEBBER’s staff love how easily their Isuzu FRR 500 handles its daily loads. Andrew Webber said he “couldn’t be more proud of the Isuzu if he tried.”

ALL GREEN NURSERY

Billy Joe Wilson learnt to drive a combination vehicle in his Isuzu Giga CXY 455. The truck holds a special place in his heart because it’s a “very tough, go anywhere truck.”

NORTHFIELD TRANSPORT

Even when he’s hauling around some pretty impressive machines, there’s only one driver’s seat David Vassallo wants to be in – that of his beloved Isuzu NPR 400.

JACK SINGH

As a sub-contractor for Allied Express, Jack Singh needs a truck that can make light work of a huge payload. He says he’s found just that with his Isuzu FSR 140-260 and its extra-long wheel base.

McLEANS FREIGHT SERVICE LISMORE

James Blok’s Isuzu FVD 1000, known as Pop’s Pride, took its name to honour the deceased McLeans Freight Service founder Laurie McLeans. James said the workhorse is a perfect tribute to his dedicated former boss.

SPG SITE SERVICE

When hauling equipment out to a site, SPG Site Service’s Jarron Tewes couldn’t think of any truck better for the job than his Isuzu Giga CXZ 415.

JORDIES GARDEN BAGS

Paul Jordan of Western Australian rubbish removal company Jordies Garden Bags says his Isuzu NPR 400 Premium ticks all the boxes. It’s reliable, comfortable, economical and a joy to drive.

AGRO TREE & STUMP SERVICES

While his trade is cutting things down, Brisbane arborist Jake Angerer is happy to build up his Isuzu NQR 450 with praise. He says the “tough, modern” beast is the perfect companion on the job site.   * Disclaimer: Prior to publishing, all Truck of the Year entries are appraised by Isuzu engineers to ensure any after-sale modifications meet warranty and safety standards.
